What is the Public Address System?

A public address system (PA system) is an electronic system consisting of microphones, amplifiers, speakers, and related equipment to amplify sound and distribute apparent volume (loudness) of a human voice, musical instrument, or other acoustic sound source or recorded sound or music. The PA system is used in any public place that requires an announcer, performer, etc. to be audible at a sufficient distance or over a large area.
